Resume

The authors analyzed a scientific study on the study of diabetes mellitus (DM) and chronic heart failure (CHF) due to common pathophysiological processes that determine the prognosis and development of both diseases. According to the studied scientific data, it was stated that in recent years, due to the development of diabetes, the number of patients with its complications has increased, especially diabetic nephropathy, which is the most common complication of diabetes mellitus and increases the risk of fatal consequences. And the causes of death in more than 50% of cases are diseases of the cardiovascular system (sudden death syndrome – 80%, myocardial infarction – 13%). With the analyzed data, the authors set a goal in subsequent studies to study the development of CHF in diabetic nephropathy. The study revealed a relationship between the development of CHF in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated by diabetic nephropathy. The causes of death among the studied group of patients in more than 50% of cases are diseases of the cardiovascular system

Key words: diabetes mellitus, diabetic nephropathy, chronic heart failure, hemodialysis, left ventricular hypertrophy, arterial hypertension
