Resume
The aim of this study was to study the state of the cervix in patients with various gynecological pathologies who applied to the scientific and advisory clinic of the Scientific and Practical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology. The study included 1125 patients. Analysis of the results of histological examination of cervical biopsy specimens and their comparison with cytological data showed a rather high sensitivity and specificity of the PAP test. The PAP p test, colposcopy and biopsy of the cervix made it possible to timely diagnose precancerous diseases, which contributes to the prevention of such a formidable disease as cervical cancer.
