Resume

A pilot project of organized cervical cancer screening using HPV testing was successfully carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The coverage of women in the project was close to 100%. The application of new screening technologies, using simple and standardized methods, shows effective results aimed at reducing the incidence and mortality of women. From the study in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the presence of highly oncogenic types of HPV was revealed in 3304 patients, which accounted for 6.77% of the total number of women examined, in the city of Chirchik in 548 patients, which amounted to 9.65% of the total number of women examined. Successful experience in the implementation of the pilot project makes it possible to recommend the introduction of HPV testing as a mandatory stage of population screening. The experience gained during the implementation of the project at the stage of organizing and equipping laboratories, training specialists will further contribute to the successful implementation of screening programs at the National level.
