PROSPECTS FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME (PCOS)

Resume

Relevance: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common causes of menstrual and reproductive dysfunction. Approximately 11% of women of childbearing age have PCOS, and in the structure of endocrine infertility it reaches 70%. The treatment of PCOS and the restoration of fertility is one of the promising areas of modern medicine. Purpose of the study: to study the effectiveness of surgical treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome. Materials and Methods: The study included 110 women with infertility due to PCOS who underwent surgical treatment. Results: during the study, it was determined that, depending on the tactics in the two groups of the survey, the total amount of fertility was more than 60.9%. Conclusion: it can be concluded that surgical treatment is acceptable after conservative treatment, but has a greater effectiveness. The effectiveness of surgical and conservative methods in the complex treatment is up to 70%.
