Resume

The frequency of preeclampsia has no tendency to decrease, and in the structure of maternal morbidity and mortality, it occupies a leading position worldwide. Despite the ongoing prevention and repeated attempts to select therapy, it was not possible to reduce the incidence of preeclampsia. The leading risk factors for the development of preeclampsia are extragenital pathology (endocrinopathy, diseases of the cardiovascular system, kidneys), inflammatory processes of the genitals and a burdened obstetric history. To date, the diagnosis of PE is based on the occurrence of arterial hypertension, proteinuria and generalized edema, as a rule, after 20 weeks of pregnancy, or on a sudden increase in blood pressure, the appearance or exacerbation of proteinuria in patients with chronic arterial hypertension. The article presents the results of the analysis of maternal mortality from complications associated with diagnosed preeclampsia and eclampsia in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the period from 2019 to 2021.

Keywords: hypertension, preeclampsia, eclampsia, pregnancy, maternal mortality.
