Resume

This article presents the relationship between Doppler ultrasound and biochemical markers of glycemia in patients with diabetic neuropathy at the stage of late complications. The study was based on a comparative prospective study of 215 patients with type 2 diabetes, 160 of them suffering from diabetic neuropathy (DNP) in the stage of late complications. Significant correlations of the level of a number of laboratory and instrumental indicators were revealed. A correlation was found with the level of fasting glycemia and glycated hemoglobin and Doppler ultrasound parameters in both groups of patients. All the above data indicate the need for timely adequate conservative treatment of chronic wound defects of the lower extremities in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the development of measures to prevent their recurrence and the organization of long-term monitoring of patients with a high risk of developing this complication of diabetes.
