Resume

The article presents data on the incidence and mortality of patients with acute mesenteric thrombosis in the Aral Sea region and their clinical characteristics. In the Khorezm branch and sub-branches of the RRCEMMP, in the period of 2015 to 2021, 110,000 surgical patients were admitted, of which 0.15% were diagnosed with acute mesenteric thrombosis. In the regions of the Aral Sea region in 2021, the lethal outcome of thrombosis of mesenteric vessels among all deaths from surgical pathologies amounted to 7.35%.

In 76.9% of cases, OMT was complicated by necrosis of the small and large intestines, peritonitis developed in 56.4% of cases, and toxic shock in 38.2% of cases. In lethal outcomes, the development of peritonitis and infectious-toxic shock was recorded 3 times more often than in surviving patients.
