Arterial hypertension remains one of the most pressing problems of modern medicine and is one of

the main corrected risk factors for the development of cognitive impairment in young and middle-aged patients. Cognitive impairment occur even with a short duration of the disease and are manifested by disorders of control functions, a decrease in the speed of cognitive processes. The results of a neuropsychological examination of 50 patients of young and middle age are presented. To evaluate cognitive functions, the neuropsychological testing method was used using the Mini-Cog test and the SAGE (Self Administrated Gerocognitive Exam) test
