FREQUENCY AND STRUCTURE OF INJURIES IN PREGNANT WOMEN IN THE REPUBLIC OF KARAKALPAKSTAN

Resume

The frequency and structure of injuries during pregnancy in 52 women admitted to the emergency service of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in 2021 and 2022, depending on the gestation period, were studied. The gestation period of the victims was as follows: 18 (34.6%) were injured in the first trimester, 21 (40.4%) in the second trimester and 13 (25.0%) pregnant women in the third trimester. According to the nature of injuries of road accidents among pregnant women there were 22 (42.3%), domestic injuries – 17 (32.7%), high–altitude injuries – 5 (9.6%), thermal burns -7 (13.4%); polytrauma was diagnosed in 1 (1.9%) pregnant woman. Of the examined pregnant women, injuries of the musculoskeletal system were recorded in 40 (76.9%), trauma of extragenital organs – in 12 (23.1%), shock – in 7 (13.4%) victims.
