Resume

Functional displacement of the mandibular joint with a cross bite leads to aesthetic and functional disorders. As a result of such violations, untimely treatment of adult patients with pronounced deformity of the maxillofacial region and pronounced facial asymmetry becomes a big problem for an orthodontist, since it does not give the expected results, and neither the patient nor the doctor is satisfied with the result. Complex osteotomy of the jaw is often required in combination with orthodontic treatment.
