Resume

In this study, the initial morphological changes that develop in the disc fibrotic ring, characteristic of the connection of dystrophic-degenerative diseases of the spine, were studied. As a material, a fragment was taken from the fibrotic annulus of the intervertebral disc between the adjacent vertebral bones during surgery for vertebral hernia. Before the onset of degenerative disk diseases, there is swelling, disorganization of cell bundles, and deformation of collagen fibers among the bundles of collagen fibers in the fibrotic disc. As primary changes of the second degree, most of the collagen fibers in the fibrotic area are destroyed, turning into sparse fibrous structures and rough proteins in a homogeneous state stained with eosin, and calcinosis foci appear in their composition. Fibrosis takes fluid and nutrients from the inner pulp core, as a result of which the pulp core changes its histotopographical structure and becomes smaller in size.
