Resume

Extragonadal germ cell tumors (EGT) in men are a rare germ cell tumor and account for 2 to 5%. Seminoma is the most common histological form of germ cell tumors [1,2]. Visceral seminoma metastases occur in <5% of patients and typically occur late in the disease. Seminoma rarely metastasizes to the kidneys, and metastases to the gastrointestinal tract are the least likely, with an incidence of <1% [3]. We present a rare case of metastatic retroperitoneal seminoma in a 26-year-old man with inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombosis.

Key words: retroperitoneal space, seminoma.
