Resume
Osteoarthritis of the knee joints is one of the most common diseases of the musculoskeletal system, causing pain, reduced quality of life, limited social activity and varying degrees of disability. Currently, there is no unambiguous approach to solving the problem of optimal combined treatment of this pathology. Combination therapy affects not only the cartilage itself, but also the joint capsule with the involvement of the synovial membrane, subchondral bone, ligaments and muscles with the active participation of the nervous system. However, in osteoarthritis, the severity of pain progresses faster than the morphological changes in the cartilage.
