Resume

The article emphasizes the urgency of the problem of pregnancy in women suffering from epilepsy, the widespread spread of the disease, a serious social and economic problem not only for the patient and his relatives, but also for the whole society. In addition, in practice, the range of issues that an obstetrician-gynecologist should solve during pregnancy in patients with epilepsy is very wide, what are the interactions between epilepsy and pregnancy, the peculiarities of pregnancy and childbirth, the teratogenic effect of antiepileptic drugs, the prognosis of the birth of a healthy child, the possibility of breastfeeding when taking antiepileptic drugs.
