THE EFFECT OF METABOLIC SYNDROME ON THE COURSE OF CORONARY HEART DISEASE

Boboyorova D.N. Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina Uzbekistan

Resume

The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of metabolic syndrome on the course of coronary heart disease and the degree of damage to the coronary arteries. 50 patients were examined (46.7% women, 53.3% men). Among the components of the metabolic syndrome, hypertriglyceridemia has the most adverse effect: in such patients, myocardial infarction is significantly more often a complication of acute coronary syndrome; patients with elevated levels of triglycerides in blood plasma are admitted to the hospital at a younger age. When assessing the effect of diabetes mellitus and various degrees of obesity on the course of coronary heart disease, no significant differences were found. In patients with metabolic syndrome, poly-vascular polysegmental lesion of the coronary arteries is more common.

Keywords: ischemic heart disease, metabolic syndrome, acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, hypertriglyceridemia.
