Resume

In the perinatal period, under the influence of endo- or exogenous infection of infants, the response of immune organs that have not yet formed during fetal development develops differently (in the form of immunodeficiency) and is manifested by dystrophic and necrotic changes in most parenchymal organs.

In particular, when a systemic vascular reaction occurs in the liver tissue, parenchymal structures appear as an accumulation of specific inclusions (protein, fat, carbohydrate and mixed). In this study, liver tissue from infected infants diagnosed with sepsis, born before and at term, was examined at autopsy. In this study, liver tissue from infected infants diagnosed with sepsis, born before and at term, was examined at autopsy. This was manifested by the development of toxic dystrophy (vacuolar dystrophy) and fatty degeneration with small drops in hepatocytes with a systemic reaction of acutely developed vessels.

Key words: morphology, liver, hepatocyte, vacuolar degeneration, neonatal period.
