Resume

This article assesses the quality of atmospheric air in the city of Navoi, the Republic of Uzbekistan. The concentrations of the main pollutants were studied: dust, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and oxide, as well as specific impurities and heavy metals. The results of the study showed that the average annual concentrations of all pollutants under consideration did not exceed the maximum permissible concentration, however, the maximum one-time concentrations of sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen exceeded the established norms. Solutions were proposed to improve air quality in the city of Navoi, including the development and implementation of measures to reduce pollutant emissions at enterprises, increased control and supervision of compliance with emission standards, as well as information campaigns for the population about the environmental situation in the city.
