Resume

Endometriosis and adenomyosis not only cause symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain and infertility, but they have also recently become a cause of a number of obstetric complications. Over the past few years, the association between endometriosis, adenomyosis and adverse pregnancy outcomes has been studied as an emerging issue in the field of reproductive medicine. The article describes in detail the frequency of obstetric complications associated with endometriosis or adenomyosis, and discusses the possible pathophysiological mechanisms for the development of complications of gestation.
