Resume

The article provides an analysis of the morphological characteristics of high-grade soft tissue sarcomas. Based on a retrospective analysis of histological archival material in No. 142 patients, the morphological structure and degree of malignancy of synovial sarcoma, angiogenic sarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, and malignant fibrous histiocytoma were studied.

The presented data indicate that, according to the morphological characteristics of the tumor, the most malignant forms of high-grade soft tissue sarcomas are angiogenic sarcoma, synovial sarcoma, and malignant fibrous histiocytoma, while poorly differentiated types were most common compared to other histological forms. Poorly differentiated tumor type is unfavorable in terms of prognosis and this should be taken into account when determining treatment tactics.
