Resume

The main factors of esophageal suture failure formation were etiological factor of esophageal perforations (p=0,031), duration of period between esophageal perforation and surgery (p=0,047), severity of general condition (p=0,016), and presence of purulent-infectious complications during hospitalization (0,002≤p ≤0,026). Duration of the period from the receipt of esophageal perforation to surgery (more than 24 hours increases the risk by 3,62 times, right-sided colitomy – by 3,72 times, perforation of the esophagus by foreign bodies – by 2,95 times, presence of mediastinitis on admission – by 4,18 times, localization of esophageal perforations in the lower thoracic region – by 2,68 times, hypotensive disease, diabetes mellitus, and CHD – almost twice. These risk factors must be taken into account when planning management tactics of patients with esophageal perforations.
