Resume

Our work describes the results of a study on the association of the MMP1 gene and, in particular, its polymorphic locus 1607 INS G (RSL799750) with the development of IBD and its complications. Objective of the study. To determine the significance of RSL799750 polymorphism of MMP1 gene in the development of varicose vein disease of the lower extremities (VBNS) and its urgent complications. Materials and Methods. A total of 316 people were enrolled in the study, of which 161 were included in the main group and 155 in the control group. Results and discussion. During the study of allele and genotype distribution frequencies of polymorphism 1607 INSG (RS1799750) in MMP1 gene for the differences in the group of patients with varicose veins and the control sample it was found that detection of homozygous mutant genotype 2G/2G increases the risk of venous thrombosis by more than 2 times. Conclusions: The 1G allele of the 1607 INSG polymorphism in the MMP1 gene is protective, with respect to hereditary predisposition to varicose and phlebothrombotic disease and to the development of varicose veins; The 2G allele of the 1607 INSG polymorphism in the MMP1 gene was found to be associated with hereditary predisposition to varicose and phlebothrombotic disease and with the development of varicose veins; The mutant 2G/2G genotype of 1607 INSG polymorphism in the MMP1 gene was associated with hereditary susceptibility to varicosity and phlebothrombosis; the association with varicosity was revealed.

Keywords: MMP1 gene, 1607 INSG, RSL799750, varicose vein disease (VVD), complications, 2G/2G mutant genotype, venous thrombosis.
