Resume
Purpose of the study: To study the prevalence and prevention of dentoalveolar anomalies and dentition defects in children of the Bukhara region.
Material and Methods: The research was carried out by a prospective method among 530 students of schools №4, 21, 39 in the city of Bukhara, as well as medical colleges in the cities of Bukhara and Gijduvan. There were 297 girls, 233 boys. The examined children were divided into 3 age groups in accordance with the stages of bite formation of temporary and permanent teeth according to the available recommendations: 6-9 years old – early mixed bite; 10-14 years old – late changeable bite; 14-18 years old – the beginning of the formation of the occlusion of permanent teeth.
Results of the study: The total number of anomalies in the position of teeth and dentition was recorded in 327 patients, occlusion anomalies – in 286 anomalies of soft tissue attachment – in 53, anomalies of individual teeth – in 32. It has been reliably established that a significant number of examined children had a combination of anomalies of individual teeth, dentition anomalies and position of teeth with malocclusion, as well as several types of malocclusion at the same time.
Taking into account the rapid formation of deformities of the dentition (66,0% of the number of children with defects) with early loss of teeth, it is necessary to carry out timely and rational prosthetics, to optimize the methods of providing rthopedic care for children.
Key words: children, dentition, prosthetics, malocclusion
