In this work, we studied the frequency of occurrence, diagnostic value and role of the polymorphic xenobiotic biotransformation gene rs179985 of the CYP2C9 gene in patients with myeloproliferative diseases.
Conducting molecular genetic studies of the rs179985 polymorphism of the CYP2C9 gene in the control group and in the main group showed a moderate excess of heterozygotes in the control group (D* = +0.11) and a slight excess (D* = +0.06) in the main group, which indicates about the low population genetic diversity of this polymorphism in the study group of patients. Therefore, the polymorphism of this gene has no diagnostic and clinical significance in this group of patients.
