CLINICAL AND PROGNOSTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF TP53 GENE MUTATION IN ACUTE LEUKEMIA

Resume
The frequency, structural features and prognostic value of TP53 gene mutations in acute myeloid and lymphoblastic leukemias were analyzed. Mutations were detected using the PCR diagnostic method. It was found that the average frequency of TP53 mutations in acute myeloid leukemia is 9,7% and varies depending on the cytogenetic variant and the presence of other genetic abnormalities. The maximum frequency of TP53 mutations (60%) was found in acute myeloid leukemia with complex chromosomal aberrations. The frequency of TP53 mutations in acute lymphoblastic leukemia was 2,2%. The prognosis of the program treatment of acute leukemia with TP53 mutations was extremely unfavorable: the median of the total life expectancy of patients did not exceed 3 months.
