Resume
Introduction. Previously, there were no publications in the Russian Federation about chronic HGV-infection combined with cryofibrinogenemia.
Сase report. The authors described a case of cryofibrinogenemia, clinically manifested by retinal vascular microtrombosis in a patient with HCV-HGV coinfection that persist after successful HCV eradication. After the off-label use PegIFN-a-2a therapy and the disappearance of HGV RNA from plasma and PBMCs, the patient showed clinical and laboratory improvement.
Discussion/conclusion. For the first time in Russia, a clinical case of a combination of chronic HGV RNA viremia and cryofibrinogenemia has been described and a successful course of antiviral therapy with PegIFN-a-2a has been conducted.
