INCIDENCE LEVEL OF CHANGES IN THE LUNGS IN PATIENTS WITH COVID-19

RezumePneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2, alone or in combination with another pathology, determines the main need for specialized medical care in hospitals and occupies a major place among all hospitalized patients. Pneumonia was almost twice as common in patients with COVID-19 comorbidities than in patients without comorbidities, accounting for 50% of cases. Pneumonia and respiratory failure involving more than 25% of the lungs are more common in patients with COVID-19 who have comorbidities, including hypertension, compared with patients without comorbidities, and develops rapidly.
