Resume

Congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (CHP) is a malformation of the pyloric region of the stomach, which is associated with impaired communication with the central nervous system and underdevelopment of the pyloric nerve ganglia; intrauterine delay in the opening of the pyloric canal; hypertrophy and swelling of the muscles of the pyloric part of the stomach. The pathogenesis is based on acute obstruction of patency in the pyloric region of the stomach due to hypertrophy of the circular fibers of the pyloric muscle, development of connective tissue, and thickening of the mucosa in the pyloric region.
