RESULTS OF TREATMENT OF ANTERIOR ABDOMINAL WALL DEFECTS IN NEWBORN

Resume

Purpose: to analyze the results of treatment of congenital malformations of the anterior abdominal wall in young children. Material and Methods: the study was carried out in 243 (103 girls and 140 boys) children with various defects of the anterior abdominal wall at the Republican Educational, Therapeutic and Methodological Center for Neonatal Surgery Results: lethality was observed in 46 (29.8%) of 154 patients of the main group of children born with a congenital defect of the anterior abdominal wall, and in 54 (60.7%) of 89 patients of the comparison group. Mortality in the main group decreased by 30.9% or 2 times. In the main group of patients born with a congenital defect of the anterior abdominal wall, a good and satisfactory result improved by 38% compared to the comparison group, an unsatisfactory result decreased by 2.3 times, i.e. by 15.2%. Conclusion: this indicates the widespread use of the proposed programs and algorithms in the treatment of children born with congenital defects of the anterior abdominal wall.
