OPTIMIZATION OF DIAGNOSTICS AND SURGICAL TACTICS FOR CONGENITAL DIAPHRAGMAL HERNIA IN NEWBORNS

Resume

The problem of surgical correction of congenital diaphragmatic hernias in newborns remains relevant to this day due to the high mortality rate in the preoperative period. The purpose of the study is to develop the most rational diagnosis, tactics of surgical treatment and preoperative management of newborns with diaphragmatic hernia. During the period from 2011 to 2022, the pediatric surgery clinic treated 97 newborns with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), in 88 cases left-sided and in 9 cases right-sided DH. All patients underwent radiation examination (chest x-ray, ultrasound), laboratory tests were performed, 80 patients underwent surgery. In the postoperative period, all children were ventilated; microjet inotropic support and drug correction of pulmonary hypertension were provided according to indications. The use of modern intensive care technologies and more advanced approaches to organizing care for newborns with congenital malformations has made it possible to reduce mortality and improve the results of treatment of children with congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
