INTRALUMENAL DILATING METHODS FOR TREATING BENIGN ESOPHAGAL STENOSIS IN CHILDREN

Resume

The work discusses clinical symptoms, methods diagnosis and treatment of benign esophageal stenosis in children. Particular attention is paid to the need for a comprehensive examination of all children with signs of dysphagia if there is a suspicion of esophageal stricture with the mandatory use of x-ray and endoscopic diagnostic methods. The choice of method for non-operative expansion of the stricture depends on the correct assessment of the degree and extent of stenosis. The latest data on high-tech minimally invasive intraluminal methods that allow restoration of the lumen of the esophagus by balloon dilatation are presented.
