THE RESULTS OF MOLECULAR GENETIC STUDIES IN TIA

Genetic variability may contribute to the risk of stroke through several potential mechanisms. There is growing evidence that genetic studies can help distinguish between subtypes of stroke and even contribute to improving the effectiveness of treatment. When predicting the data presented in Table 5, the result of the prognostic efficacy (AUC) of the VEGF-A polymorphism allele of the rs699947 gene in the main group was 0.58, sensitivity (SE) -0.64, specificity (SP) – 0.42, whereas in patients who had a stroke with TIA and had TIA, but did not have TIA. stroke, these indicators were AUC=0.57, SE=0.66, SP=0.42 and AUC=0.50, se=0.59, SP=0.42 (Table 3.1.23).
