Resume
Given the high frequency of acute odontogenic inflammatory diseases, they are an important medical problem in the clinical practice of surgical dentistry. The increase in the number and severity of patients with acute odontogenic infection is associated with the change of microflora caused by purulent-inflammatory diseases of odontogenic origin, the decrease in the effectiveness of antibiotics, and the imperfection of conservative treatment methods for complex forms of caries.
Keywords. odontogenic osteomyelitis, maxillofacial area, odontogenic infection.
