Resume

This article presents the morphological state of the bone tissue of female rats during experimental ovariectomy.

The studies were carried out on 26 mature female rats weighing 180-220 g over a 90-day experiment. Studies have shown that the development of successive dystrophic, destructive and atrophic changes, which began from the proximal part of the bones and spread towards the distal part, mainly affected the diaphyseal part of the bones. In the dynamics after treatment in the affected bone tissue, the morphological signs of osteoporosis are quickly replaced by an osteoregenerative process and by the 90th day of the experiment both bone plates and Haversian canals are restored.

Key words: experimental ovariectomy, osteoporosis, bone tissue morphology.
