Resume

An analysis of our scientific article shows that the suicide rate is significantly higher in neurological diseases with disabilities, especially among patients with neurodegenerative diseases, than in patients without disabilities. Older people are at greater risk of suicide than any other age group in the world. Parkinson’s disease, a common neurodegenerative disease in the elderly, is associated with an increased risk of suicide, which is fully explained by the high level of mental illness in patients with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
