The purpose of the study was a comparative analysis of the detection rate of various forms of anemias in elderly and senile people. The article shows the main factors leading to a microelement polydeficiency state. We considered it expedient to provide an analysis of indicators of the metabolism of iron, copper and hematopoietic trace elements in elderly and senile people. The results of the analyzes showed that in terms of iron metabolism and the content of hematopoietic microelements in the blood serum in elderly women, depending on the place of residence, they showed that the studied 8 parameters in the examined category were significantly reduced in relation to young women
