DIAGNOSIS OF LIVER DISEASES IN PATIENTS WITH DRUG-RESISTANT PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS

Abstract: In the conditions of drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis (LUTL) and long-term chemotherapy, there are regular changes in the structure and functional state of the liver.

Objective: to study the frequency and nature of liver damage in patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis.

Material and methods: A total of 220 patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis and 100 drug – sensitive pulmonary tuberculosis were examined.

Results: In a comparative study of various clinical and laboratory signs in patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis the predominant were sonographic signs of liver disease (45,0%), asthenovegetative syndrome (45,0%), hepatomegaly (35,5%), impaired liver function tests (33,6%), dull pain in the liver (28,2%) and echographic signs of gallbladder pathology (27,7%). With the help of clinical,laboratory and echographic studies of the liver in patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis were first diagnosed liver disease (64,5%) and gallbladder (31,4%).

Conclusion: Early diagnosis of pathology of the hepatobiliary system in patients with LU pulmonary tuberculosis is a complex diagnostic problem. Its solution is possible only with the use of the entire Arsenal of modern methods of clinical,laboratory and instrumental examination of patients.
