Resume,
The review presents an analysis of modern literature regarding the capabilities of the bioimpedansometry method in assessing the composition of the human body. It has been shown that measurement with the help of cutaneous electrodes of electrical impedance allows obtaining information without introducing changes or risk of complications into the body. Bioimpedance measurements make it possible to assess a wide range of morphological and physiological parameters. They are based on the presence of regularities connecting the impedance values with the parameters of the component composition of the body and allow us to study the dynamics and redistribution of fluid between its regions as a result of physical and physiological loads in the case of pathologies. Analysis of body composition by impedance indicators helps to monitor the state of the lipid, protein and water metabolism of the body. The role of bioimpedancemetry as a method underlying the preventive-predictive medicine, which indicates the need for additional laboratory and functional studies in order to determine further tactics of treatment and management of patients, is emphasized.
Key words: bioimpedance analysis, polarization coefficient, segment analysis, morphological and functional changes in tissues
