This work is devoted to one of the important problems of otorhinolaryngology studying the genetics of ENT diseases in twins. The therapeutic group consisted of 234 twin pairs, of which 103 pairs were monozygous and 131 pairs were dizygotic twins. The control group consisted of 756 students of secondary schools. The work describes in detail the paired relationships, common abnormalities of the face and ENT organs in twins. On this basis of concordance and discordance of monozygous and dizygotic twins is determined . The results and conclusions show the greatest similarity between the anatomical details of the auricles and some features of the face and malocclusion in monozygotes, and the heritability coefficient for monozygotes was 9.6, for dizygotes it was 3.68. These data indicate that the above face and ENT organs determined by genetic factors.
