ANALYSIS OF LOW RESPIRATORY FOREIGN BODY COMPLICATIONS IN CHILDREN

Resume

The article presents the results of a study of 79 children aged 0 to 14 years with signs of protracted and chronic respiratory tract disease, who were admitted for examination to determine the long-term carriage of unrecognized foreign bodies to the Andijan Regional Children’s Multidisciplinary Medical Center. The main diagnostic method was bronchoscopy, which allows to remove foreign bodies of various origins. Of the 79 patients, 53 (67%) were children under 3 years old, 14 (17.7%) aged 4 to 6 years, 12 (15.2%) from 6 to 14 years old. Considering the signs of local endobronchitis, the presence of granulations, the risk of bleeding on contact, as well as the difficulties in extracting foreign bodies, it is advisable to use rigid bronchoscopy under artificial ventilation with constant oxygen injection.
