PROGNOSTIC VALUE OF THE CYTOKINE PROFILE IN MULTIPLE LIVEL ECHINOCOCCOSIS

Resume

89 patients with echinococcosis of the liver at the age of 18 – 75 years were examined. Determination of the cytokine profile (NL4, IL-6, TNF- а) in the blood of patients with liver echinococcosis (EP) before surgery, immediately after it for 3.5 days and 4 months after surgical interventions. The control group consisted of 30 healthy individuals. In patients with EP before and after surgery, there is an increase in the level of TNF-а and IL-6 in blood serum, which is directly dependent on the activity of the pathological process and the functional state of the liver. After treatment of the residual cavity with the liposomal form of albendazole (LFA) and cytokine therapy, cell and humoral immunity were normalized, and the increase in IL-4 concentration in the postoperative period was favorably reduced by the outcome of the disease. The study of the cytokine profile in patients with EP undergoing su rgical treatment allows us to assess the severity of the lesion, the course of the postoperative period and to predict the possibility of relapse.
