Resume

Early diagnosis and timely treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis is one of the most important tasks of modern medical practice. The most important achievement of the previous stage of the development of hepatology was the proof of the etiological unity of acute and chronic forms of hepatitis B, C, D. and chronic hepatitits,liver cirrhosis, hepatosellular carsinoma. They should be considered as phases of a single pathological process. Timely diagnosis of these conditions is the key to developing optimal patient management tactics and preventing complications. Development of new methods for noninvasive assessment of liver fibrosis, reflecting both the structural and functional state of the organ, available for initial examination of patients and their monitoring.
