Resume

The review article is devoted to the genetic study of predisposition to pelvic organ prolapse. The genetically determined activity of a number of phase II enzymes of the detoxification system is one of the endogenous pathogenetic conditions that contribute to the formation and progression of pelvic organ prolapse.
