Resume
Vaccine prevention of infectious diseases, features of the epidemic process and related features of vaccination at the present stage remain one of the current health problems of our day. There is now a possibility of loss of control of immunization-preventable infections, which could lead to a decrease in herd immunity and outbreaks of infectious diseases around the world. Currently, there is a wide spread of certain controlled infections and an increase in mortality from complications of these diseases. For example: measles infection. Purpose of the study: Analysis of the current state of vaccination in the prevention of infectious diseases. Materials and methods: An analysis of scientific publications devoted to vaccine prevention of infectious diseases was carried out. The study used descriptive and comparative evaluation methods. Research results: In the last decade, new phenomena have emerged related to drug-resistant forms of infections, an increase in the number of HIV-infected patients with a deficient immune system, a decrease in the infectious load, and interest in vaccine prevention has increased. Individualization of vaccination is becoming a current trend - the development of selective schedules, the selection of adequate drugs for people with chronic pathologies and an increased risk of complications in order to minimize risks and increase the effectiveness of the event. Significant developments in medicine, as well as current research conducted in the field of effective vaccine prevention, indicate that new technologies for creating vaccines are being created. Conclusions. Thus, despite the progress in the field of vaccine prevention, new technologies for creating vaccines are being created, based on modern advances in molecular, cellular biology and immunology, and the “old” ones are being made more effective and safe.
