Resume

Preterm birth is a leading cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity worldwide. Issues of etiology, pathogenesis, early diagnosis and prognosis remain controversial and do not fully reveal the problem. This article provides an analysis of domestic and foreign literature on modern markers for the diagnosis of preterm birth.
