Resume
This article will be devoted to the study of patients suffering from chronic tonsillitis and its complications. In particular, the number of patients with paratonzillary abscess, which is considered one of the important complications of tonsillitis, has increased significantly. Studies were conducted in 59 patients with paratonzillary abscess. The research was conducted in the methods of observations, surveys, instrumental, labarator and microbiological examination. From our observations, it turned out that 59.3% of patients were female and 40.7% were male. The incidence was almost 80%, mainly in middle-aged people, and 15% and 5%, respectively, in young people and adolescents. We can see the disease mainly in the winter and summer months, while in the spring and autumn the relative incidence rate has decreased. The incidence was 74%, mainly in urban centers, and 26% in the suburbs. Recidivism also increased significantly, with 26 out of a total of 59 patients (44%) having secondary, tertiary and even more lambs than some. The main reason for this was the fact that preventive measures were not taken at the time, and cases of incomplete and inadequate treatment were found.
Keywords: complicated chronic tonsillitis, treatment criteria, complications, paratonsillar abscess, appearance of relapse.
