Resume
Data are presented on the study of a number of parameters characterizing the tendency to seek medical help in patients with underlying dystrophic genital diseases (DGD) (dystrophic diseases of the vulva (DDV))). The authors found that a number of reasons of a subjective (oncophobia, emotional exhaustion, low financial security), influences the low adherence to treatment of patients with DGD. And medical causes (inadequate examination, low use of special diagnostic methods, treatment by non-specialized specialists, unsatisfactory quality of previous treatment). All these reasons influence the motivation to receive timely medical care and the formation of chronic, complicated and recurrent forms. Consequently, targeted impact on the identified causes can increase adherence to therapy in such important conditions when it comes to underlying genital diseases in women. This problem is inextricably linked with the prevention of genital cancer.
Key words: dystrophic diseases of the genitals, lichen sclerosus, late seeking medical help.
