Resume

The initial and middle parts of the intestine play an important role in the assimilation of proteins, fats, carbohydrates. The functional activity of the last part of the intestine is low, and it serves as a hidden source. When the functional activity of the gastrointestinal tract decreases for some reason, the last part of the intestine performs a compensatory function.
