Resume

Purpose of the study - identification of the severity and prevalence of mechanical injuries of the genitals and genital organs in females, which is important for the forensic medical qualification of the severity of bodily injuries. Materials and methods. The scientific literature devoted to the issues of epidemiology, classification and nature of mechanical injuries of the genitals and genital organs of females is analyzed. Research results. It has been noted that injuries to the genitals and genital organs are most common in girls under the age of 10 years. The anatomical and physiological characteristics of the body in children, increased activity in childhood, as well as inadequate supervision of the child by parents, lead to a high risk of genital injuries in girls. It was revealed that, depending on the severity and prevalence of injuries to these structures in females, there are: isolated genital rupture below the hymen; isolated genital rupture, including hymen; genital rupture including vagina; combined genital rupture with partial or complete rupture of the anorectum. Conclusion. The criteria for medico-legal classification of severity for these injuries are: duration of health disorder; danger to life; loss of an organ or its function.

Keywords: female persons, genitali, genitals, injuries, heaviness, prevalence, forensic significance.
