Resume

Among cardiovascular diseases, the incidence of mitral valve regurgitation of rheumatic origin is constantly increasing, and this trend is predicted to continue. Currently, mitral valve insufficiency is rapidly becoming an important problem in the health care system. The number of hospitalizations for this heart disease increases every year, which is a major health problem in low- and middle-income countries. Based on the discovery of new biomarkers to accelerate the early detection of the disease, it is necessary to study and evaluate the diagnostic requirements. Based on the assessment of current trends in the use of cardiovascular markers, we discussed and described the requirements for their use in rheumatic heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases. In addition, this review focuses on cardiovascular biomarkers and procedures that should be considered to create a comprehensive picture of cardiovascular biomarker expression
