Resume

Tuberculosis (TB) is a preventable and usually curable disease. However, in 2022, TB was the second leading cause of death from a single infectious agent globally after coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and caused almost twice as many deaths as HIV/AIDS. More than 10 million people continue to fall ill with TB each year. Urgent action is needed to end the global TB epidemic by 2030, a goal adopted by all Member States of the United Nations (UN) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
